Good to hear some Tri-State bands outside of the NYC area doing their thing, as is the case for Jersey’s Lake Effect. On their track “Suspicion” Their slacker tendencies play more into a structured, infectious pop tune than any overly aggressive mess. The 2-piece Max Rauch and Keith Williams, two underground punk heroes, seem to have toned down their sound, and it makes for a more rewarding, and repeatable experience.
